Founded by Joshua Frierson, Mena’s Luvel was created in honor of his late grandmother, Elmena (“Mena”), whose love, strength, and spirit still inspire every event we serve. What began as a passion for cooking became a calling: to serve people with excellence, warmth, and unforgettable flavor — the way family should be served.

Mena’s Luvel specializes in chef-driven BBQ catering experiences that blend soulful Southern tradition with a refined, modern presentation. Our signature approach includes slow-smoked meats, fire-grilled entrées, flavorful sides, and our well-known Honey Butter Sauce, a fan-favorite that has become part of our identity.
